Common Questions
Do I need an appointment?
On weekdays Infusion Boutique is 100% by appointment and may not be at the store if we do not have any prescheduled appointments. On weekends we take walk-ins as available, but strongly encourage making an appointment to guarantee a time and stylist/ fitting room to try dresses. Please call or text 401.480.8187 to schedule.
Do you charge an appointment fee?
Unlike many local bridal stores Infusion Boutique does NOT charge an appointment fee. Since we do not charge a fee we kindly ask that you cancel at least 2 hours in advance so we do not make a special trip to the store if you do not plan to be there. This is especially true during the midweek or during the summer/fall.
How long are your appointments ?
Our average prom, pageant, MOB & MOG appointments are 1 hour and bridal appointments are 1.5 hours.
Do you rent dresses?
No, we do not rent dresses.
Do you offer consignment?
No, Infusion Boutique is new only retail store that does NOT sell nor purchase pre-owned dresses.
Do you offer alterations?
No, we do not offer in-store alterations. We do, however, offer recommendations to several local seamstresses, please inquire with us for their contact information. This also keeps the cost of your alterations more affordable since many stores that offer alterations are adding a profit above the actual cost.
Do you have sales?
We keep a sale rack at all times of $250 and under for prom and select bridal gowns under $1000, these dresses are from previous seasons. Current seasons and carry-over styles cannot be discounted.
Do you accept returns?
All sales are final including items placed on layaway. No refunds, exchanges, or returns.
Can you ship Internationally?
No. Infusion Boutique only ships within the U.S.
When is the best time to start shopping for prom?
It is never too early to start shopping! Our typical peak season begins right after MLK weekend. For the best selection and availability we recommend starting in January. If we do not have your favorite in store in the correct size or color the earlier shopping date typically allows us time to order it for you. We have found post covid designers have cut down immensely on the amount of dresses they manufacter so please don't wait if there are specific styles you love!
What are some tips when I come to shop?
- Give yourself plenty of time, especially if you plan on shopping on a Saturday from January-March. It is almost guaranteed that there will be a wait for a fitting room, so make sure you aren’t on a time limit!
- Wear the proper, flesh toned undergarments that will give you the most support while trying on your dresses.
- Look at the inventory we have listed on our website before visiting the store, so you already have a good idea of what you are looking for.
How do I measure to order a gown?
You will need to measure your bust, waist, and hips, then consult the designer's size chart:
- Stand up straight with your feet together and both arms lifted
- Make sure the tape is level when measuring
- Bust:
- Take the tape around your back
- Bring it across your bust at the fullest part
- Record measurement
- Waist:
- Wrap the tape around your waist (located an inch above your belly button or naturally where you curve in when you bend side to side)
- Record measurement
- Hips:
- Loop the tape completely around your buttocks and thighs at the fullest part
- Record measurement
Now that you have all three measurements, make sure you match them accordingly--bust-waist-hips (For example: 34.5-26-36).
If you are between sizes, we recommend going with the larger size. It is always easier to take in than let out.
What should I consider when choosing a wedding dress?
When choosing a wedding dress, it's essential to consider several factors to ensure you make the right decision:
- Budget: Set a budget early on to narrow down your options and avoid overspending. We recommend not trying dresses above your budget unless you have flexibility. There is nothing worse than falling in love with your dream gown and not being able to have it.
- Timeline: Start shopping for your dress at least 12 months before your wedding date. Many bridal designers can take 6-8 monthl to make a dress so selecting your dress no later than 10 months before your date still allows time for fittings and alterations.
- Venue: Consider the location and theme of your wedding. The dress should complement the setting, whether it's a beach, garden, or formal venue, but at the end of the day the most important thing is that you love how you look in your gown.
- Body Shape: Understand your body type to choose a silhouette that accentuates your best features. Infusion Boutique is happy to make recommendations for styles that will compliment your shape and make you feel your best.
- Personal Style: We encourage our brides to come in with a few images for ideas of styles they love. Do you like lace? beading? simple? We start with your vision and encourage you to try a few things that your did not think about. We have found close to 85% of brides select a dress that they never saw coming. We try to reflect on your personal style and preferences to select a dress that makes you feel comfortable and beautiful.
